Prince William Will Participate in COP30 Climate Summit in South America

Prince William is scheduled to attend the United Nations climate conference in South America during November, according to palace sources.

Prince William and King Charles appeared together on Thursday night at a event ahead of the environmental conference, which is scheduled to take place in the northern Brazilian city of Belém.

Father and son were in attendance at the museum gathering, marking an rare public appearance together at a climate summit preparatory event organized in partnership with the United Kingdom administration.

Environmental Advocacy Dedication

King Charles has been a longstanding advocate of biodiversity preservation - and the Prince of Wales has assumed the responsibility, with his own environmental prize initiative, which will be hosted in Rio before the climate conference.

Official representatives have characterized the Prince's participation at the next COP as taking on an important role in "climate diplomacy".

Previous Activities

The monarch and his heir, making a joint entrance in the official car, were introduced to guests including conservation experts, scientists, climate change campaigners, foreign representatives and government officials.

This involvement included speaking in concert with French leader Macron of France and other international figures at the Ocean Finance Summit in Monaco in recent months.

Environmental Prize Connection

The climate conference will coincide with the prince's own sustainability recognition program, which will conclude in the Brazilian city the eve of he participates in the climate conference on the sixth of November.

King Charles has been a influential participant at previous climate summits, delivering the inaugural speech in the United Arab Emirates for the 28th Conference of Parties, including the statement: "Our responsibility is to protect the world we inhabit".
